Blotting Sponge Pads 8x11cm
Advansta's Blotting sponge pads maintain secure contact between gel and membrane in transfer sandwiches and cassettes for consistent transfers. The blotting sponge pads resist compression and are available in two sizes (8 x 11 cm and 9 x 15 cm) to work with multiple transfer setups and membrane sizes.
Figure 1: The below diagram demonstrates the role of sponge pads in the transfer sandwich set-up, outside the blotting papers and just inside the transfer cassette. Sponge pads are important for making sure equal pressure is applied for even transfer from gel to membrane.
