SK-N-BE (2) nuclear extract

Active Motif's SK-N-BE (2) nuclear extract was prepared from a cell culture of the human neuroblastoma SK-N-BE (2) cell line. The SK-N-BE (2) cell line was originally derived from a bone marrow biopsy of a 22 month old boy with disseminated neuroblastoma after cytotoxic therapy. The morphology of SK-N-BE (2) cells is variable, with some cells exhibiting epithelial-like morphology and others neuroblast-like morphology. The SK-N-BE (2) cell line is most commonly used in research related to differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis of neuroblast cells and as models for p53-mediated resistance to cytotoxic cancer therapies.
