DcR3 (TNFRSF6B or tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6b) is thought to play a regulatory role in suppressing FasL- and LIGHT-mediated cell death. DcR3 acts as a decoy receptor that competes with death receptors for ligand binding. Overexpression of this gene has been noted in gastrointestinal tract tumors, and it is located in a gene-rich cluster on chromosome 20, with other potentially tumor-related genes. Two transcript variants encoding the same isoform, but differing in the 5? UTR, have been observed for this gene.

Keep reagents on ice when not in storage; to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting items that will be stored frozen into single-use fractions prior to freezing.
