for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Application Notes

Validated Applications:
WB: 1:1,000 - 1:5,000 dilution

The addition of 0.05% Tween 20 in the blocking buffer and primary antibody incubation buffer is recommended to aid in detection by Western blot. Individual optimization may be required.

for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Immunogen

This Rsf1 antibody was raised against a His-Tagged fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 165-350 of Drosophila Rsf1.

for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Buffer

PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide, 0.2 mg/ml BSA and 35% glycerol. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

Rsf1 pAb tested by Western blot.
Schneider's Drosophila L2 nuclear extract (10 µg) was probed with Rsf1 pAb (1:1,000 dilution).

for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Background

Rsf-1 (Remodeling and spacing factor 1) is a member of RSF complex. This complex consists of two subunits: Rsf-1 and SNF2H. RSF possesses a chromatin remodeling activity and a chromatin assembly activity. Rsf-1 assembles the nucleosomes randomly with its histone chaperone activity. The resulting nucleosomes are then redistributed by the ATP-utilizing nucleosome mobilization factor SNF2H into a periodic array. Rsf-1 can be involved in transcriptional repression when it is recruited to DNA via the DNA binding of Gal4 or in transcriptional coactivation when associated with hepatitis B virus pX protein (HBX). In response to hepatitis B infection, Rsf-1 can bind to the viral transcription activator pX, which then coactivates the transcription factor NF?B, thus supporting the life cycle of the viral genome. Additionally, Rsf-1 is thought to be a potent oncogene, with elevated expression observed in ovarian carcinomas.

for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Positive Control

Active Motif's Schneider's Drosophila L2 nuclear extract (Catalog No. 36087) can be used as a positive control for Rsf1 antibody.

for Rsf1 antibody (pAb)Storage

Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Upon receipt, unconjugated antibodies may be stored at -20°C for up to 2 years. Fluorophore- & enzyme-conjugated antibodies should be stored at 4°C. Fluorophore-conjugated antibodies should be protected from light. Keep reagents on ice when not in storage; to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting items that will be stored frozen into single-use fractions prior to freezing.
