Active Motif's C646 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the histone acetyltransferase p300/CBP (Ki = 400 nM). It induces apoptosis in prostate cancer cells and enhances fear extinction memory and synaptic plasticity in mice. It also promotes tau deacetylation reducing levels of pathogenic p-tau. It is cell permeable.
