Iodoacetamide

Iodoacetamide is a used to alklyate or "cap" reduced cysteine residues prior to enzymatic digestion of a protein for analysis. It is a component of the AccuMAP™ Low pH Protein Digestion Kit (Promega Cat.# VA1040 and VA1050).
