pFC16K HaloTag CMVd2 Flexi Vector
Constitutive Protein Expression in Mammalian Cells
The pFC16A and pFC16K HaloTag® CMVd2 Flexi® Vectors are configured to append the HaloTag® to the carboxyterminus of the protein fusion partner and provide constitutive protein expression in mammalian cells using a modified human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate early enhancer/promoter, CMVd2. The vectors can be used for both stable and transient gene expression; for stable expression, cotransfection with a vector containing a selectable marker is required. A choice of ampicillin (A) or kanamycin (K) is provided with these vectors.
Note: Flexi® Vectors contain the lethal barnase gene to reduce background colonies without inserts during the subcloning procedure. Using the Flexi® Vector Cloning System replaces the barnase gene with your insert. These vectors, as purchased, cannot be cultured in normal laboratory strains of E. coli without an insert.Application
- Clone ORF and conveniently transfer these inserts to a variety of vectors designed for multiple applications.
