Constitutive Protein Expression in Mammalian Cells
The pFN22A and pFN22K HaloTag® CMVd1 Flexi® Vectors are configured to append the HaloTag® to the aminoterminus of the protein fusion partner and provide constitutive protein expression in mammalian cells using a modified human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early enhancer/promoter, CMVd1. The vector can be used for both stable and transient gene expression; for stable expression, cotransfection with a vector containing a selectable marker is required. These vectors are provided with a choice of ampicillin (A) or kanamycin (K) antibiotic resistance genes.
Note: Flexi® Vectors contain the lethal barnase gene to reduce background colonies without inserts during the subcloning procedure. Using the Flexi® Vector Cloning System replaces the barnase gene with your insert. These vectors, as purchased, cannot be cultured in normal laboratory strains of E. coli without an insert.
Application
- Clone ORF and conveniently transfer these inserts to a variety of vectors designed for multiple applications.
