Active Motif's PANC-1 nuclear extract was prepared from cell cultures of the human epithelioid pancreatic carcinoma PANC-1 nuclear cell line. The PANC-1 cell line was derived from the ductal tissue of a 56 year old Caucasian male patient with carcinoma of the exocrine pancreas. These cells display an epithelial morphology and possess the type B phenotype for glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase (G6PD). PANC-1 cells are an extensively studied model of human ductal pancreatic cancers and are commonly used in research to study tumorigenicity, cytotoxicity and pharmacodynamics in relation to pancreatic cancer.
