Recombinant PDGFRB (557-1106) protein
Background
PDGFRB (Platelet Derived Growth Factor Receptor Beta), a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as cell surface receptor for homodimeric PDGFB and PDGFD and for heterodimers formed by PDGFA and PDGFB, PDGFRB plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, survival, differentiation, chemotaxis and migration and plays an essential role in blood vessel development by promoting proliferation, migration and recruitment of pericytes and smooth muscle cells to endothelial cells. PDGFRB plays a role in the migration of vascular smooth muscle cells and the formation of neointima at vascular injury sites.
Application Notes
This product was manufactured as described in Protein Details. Where possible, Active Motif has developed functional or activity assays for recombinant proteins. Additional characterization such as enzyme kinetic activity assays, inhibitor screening or other biological activity assays may not have been performed for every product. All available data for a given product is shown on the lot-specific Technical Data Sheet.
